Week Two

Hello all,

I'm sorry that I didn't put this up earlier. It's a long story involving robots and Phoenix and awaking up at 5 in the morning.

Last week I was trying to compare e-reading devices with paper textbooks. As I expected, I did not get all that much useful material. I have learned that finding papers that are exactly what you need is very difficult. I was mislead by an old article that had exactly the right thesis, but was a decade out of date. I did figure out how to get the full text off of the U of A library, and how to search for texts.

This week I will break the problem down, rather than continue to beat my head against the wall, and search for life-cycle analyses of various e-readers and textbooks. My current problem is in trying to get the search engine to search for a paper about books, rather than a book about life-cycle analyses.

Week One

Hello all,

Over the last week I have been constructing a website for my project. It is called Sustainable UA and it is on WordPress. It is currently under development, and will be brought up at today's meeting. I will post again after the meeting.
